    Alms box for voluntary contributions for the relief of the poor; found in churches since the earliest days of Christianity, when they were gazophylacium (Greek: treasury) or corbona (Latin: treasure chambers).

    [color=blue:2b60ypwp]We have one in are Church(but it was built in 1905),I wonder if they are in the newer Catholic Churchs?I will have to look next time I enter a newer one.[/color:2b60ypwp]
