    About Catholics Team
    Keymaster

Lately it seems like there is more and more rioting by people after major sporting events resulting in large amounts of destruction. It actually really bothers me because I can’t figure out why people want to go out and destroy things after a team wins a game.

Last March or April (I can’t remember) at my college, after we won the national championship for hockey <img src=” title=”Very Happy” /> , for the second straight year people went out of their homes after drinking massive quantities of alcohol and flipped people’s cars – burning them, lit fires in the middle of streets and tore down several signs and so on and so forth.

Now, why on earth do people do this? I don’t find alcohol to be a legitimate reason or excuse nor the excitement of winning a national championship. I mean, this is senseless destruction! Apparently there was a riot at another college in a town south of mine during homecoming weekend. I just don’t see the point. <img src=” title=”Confused” />

Are people becoming more hedonistic and looking for excuses to do things they would not normally do?

    I’m baffled.
