<img loading=” title=”Neutral” /> I really believe that when a Catholic dies 99%(figure I made up) will go to purgatory because most people die with sins on there souls(not necessarily motal sins)and the length of stay will vary according to your sins.I also believe if one makes a perfect act of contrition before one dies(If you are lucky to do so)all your motal sins will be foregiven. Our son who was a Catholic but never went to church in years died about 2 months ago at age 42 leaving behind a wife and three children and are priest from St.Peters talked to us and said to pray for him and the people in purgatory.
When we go to are Adoration Chapel and mass we always pray for the people in purgatory,It is said every time one prays for the people there quite a few are released.
