Deacon Paul Carlson

Deacon Paul was the first lay catechist in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis teaching Scripture classes in 132 different parishes. He taught Old Testament to deacons in formation beginning in 1979, was the first in his class of deacons in 1976, and served on the Marriage Tribunal. Deacon Paul passed away in 2011 at the age of 94.
