    Not that this is an issue I don’t know too much about, but I want to open it up for discussion and get others’ reactions.

    What do you make of the charge to the disciples at the end of Matthew where Jesus says to baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit in contrast to Acts 2:38 where Peter says people need to be baptized in the name of Jesus?

    Why the difference? Why doesn’t Peter mention the Father and the Holy Spirit ie the trinitarian form for baptism?
