Does prayer have to pass the lips? Can’t the Lord, for good or bad, read my thoughts?

Wonderful site btw. I have been curious about Catholicism ever since Benedict was elected. The articles are very concise.

I would say it would all depend on the situation and where you are at. For example: Staying silent at church while everybody else is professing the faith would probably not be appropriate.
On the other hand, meditation and total focus on God in your home while staying silent I think would be ok.

Hope that answers your question and welcome to the forum.

How did you know I was vice president of the Forensic Science Society at my university?

The Holy Father’s choice of name has been a constant source of consternation for me on message boards. I keep thinking people are talking about me.

    As long as it’s not an anti-catholic board… <img loading=” title=”Very Happy” />

What disciple are you studying? Curious because I was Computer Forensics Examiner before I retired from the PD.

    God Bless!

I am a forensic toxicologist and molecular biologist.

My school now has, I believe, the country’s first graduate program in forensic computing. I hang around with the Computer Science Association officers quite a bit and the kind of computing and algorithms they learn boggle my mind (and I am a Math minor in linear algebra and operations research).
