    Does prayer have to pass the lips? Can’t the Lord, for good or bad, read my thoughts?

    Wonderful site btw. I have been curious about Catholicism ever since Benedict was elected. The articles are very concise.

    I would say it would all depend on the situation and where you are at. For example: Staying silent at church while everybody else is professing the faith would probably not be appropriate.
    On the other hand, meditation and total focus on God in your home while staying silent I think would be ok.

    I am a forensic toxicologist and molecular biologist.

    My school now has, I believe, the country’s first graduate program in forensic computing. I hang around with the Computer Science Association officers quite a bit and the kind of computing and algorithms they learn boggle my mind (and I am a Math minor in linear algebra and operations research).
