What is the church’s “policy” when it comes to someone getting civilly married during their annulment process, meaning before any decision as been made by the tribunal. Specifically is it true that the proceeding is ended? And if so, can the person re-petition for annulment? Thanks.

That is a very inetersting question. My question would be, if someone finds getting an annulment important, why would they be unable to wait until the declaration is made? Since a true Marriage for Catholics is a Sacrament, why would one want to attempt something that would be potentially damaging to their souls?

While I don’t know the answer, and the local diocese Marriage Tribunal could answer the question, I’ll see if I can find out what I can.
