This is an area I certainly can do more growing in. How do you understand the differences in how something Inspired (The Canon) develops vs. how something Highly Authoritative (Nicene Creed, councils, etc.) develops.
Do both develop? If so, how does it differ?

Well, I don’t think the Scriptures develop. Perhaps our understanding of them does, but not the Scriptures themselves. If they did we would have had some new books added in the last 1700 years.
Oops, I meant the Canon.
