I really want to learn Latin, but i dont know where to go. is there any language learning program or classes in the area of Glendale, CA, maybe even its neighboring cities where i could learn?
March 19, 2010 at 2:03 pm #9660About Catholics TeamKeymasterYou could try this:
Getting Started with Latin: Beginning Latin for Homeschoolers and Self-Taught Students of Any Age
This is the text used for university level Latin courses:
Wheelock’s Latin (Wheelock’s Latin)And the ubiquitous “For Dummies” series:
Latin for Dummies
There’s also the very popular Rosetta Stone series:
Learn Latin with Rosetta StoneCourses in Latin will probably cost you a lot more than any of these packages, but it might be worth it for you depending on what you want to do with the language.
Latin is very different from English in structure and also from the other Romance Languages (French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, etc.) It can be challenging to learn, but not impossible.
