I was listening to Dr. Scott Hahn’s Hebrew concept of Sheol or the netherworld. I did not know that those saved and those that are not share a common place. I don’t think the Church calls purgatory a “place” but does call it a “state” (CCC #1472).

This made me think back to stories, TV, movies etc. where the evil and good share this common place. Truly, we don’t know all the details but the Church points to the most important thing for us Christians, which is [b:20q7u1n7]purification[/b:20q7u1n7].

What questions would you have of this place/state?
What happened to the OT saints that were intended to go straight to heaven but couldn’t because the gates weren’t open yet?

Let me know your thoughts or questions.

    ~Victor
