There was a basic word processing program, an optional dot matrix printer. Each time you booted up the system, you had to load the program from a cassette tape player, (not included). The cables included allowed you to use a television as a monitor. The basic memory was 14K or 18K which was held in a pod that was plugged into the back of the unit, you could add on two or three extra pods, each one was a little larger than a transformer on a carger for a cell phone. You could also buy games like Frogger and other programs on cassette tapes.
