Going to heaven has little or nothing to do with luck. If one dies in a state of grace, one will enter the kingdom. If one has temporal punishment due, one is purified, made ready to see God face to face. At death there is the particular judgement. You stand before the Holy Trinity. Heaven or Hell, it is determined. At the end of time there is a belief in General Judgement, all humanity will know your darkest secrets. Everyone will know the determination of everyone’s soul.

Unlike earth, those who are condemned to Hell as well as those who are forever in the sight of God are fully aware of God’s justice, and that they are rewarded or punished according to their own deeds, they will praise God for His justice.
