Just some thoughts:

I really enjoyed “The Lamb’s Supper” by Scott Hahn, a liturgical look concerning the book of Revelation.

I lean towards Nero as the beast in Revelation and that a lot of Revelation was fulfilled before 70AD.

Notice that the word antichrist does not appear in Rev. and that Christ does not come to earth as supposed by many prophecy addicts.

John specifically mentions the spirit of antichrist in the world at that time.

Conservative scholarship dates Rev. before 70AD.

Scott does a beautiful job showing Christ’s coming in the Eucharist at mass.

JP2 looked for a springtime of evangelism for the new millennium.

I personally see the Church in the great struggle now, fighting the enemy of communism, and now radical Islam . (Our weapons of course mentioned in Eph. 6).

I believe that the Church will triumph and that there will be the Ages of Faith again, similar to the High Middle Ages.

I don’t believe in a coming utopia. I don’t believe that everyone will be happy, happy, happy.

But I do believe it will be better than it is now.

( I have no idea why I just ranted like this in that it is late and wonder if I really know what I’m talking about. But there you have it).
