I’m not at all arguing against there being One Optimal Way to worship Him, but I think it’s a bit strong to say that those who follow a different path are worshipping a different God.

If God is the God of Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, pagans, and possibly even atheists who might believe in “something”, then surely they are not being “promiscuous” per se.
