Yes, the Last Supper is considered to be the first Mass.
The Catholic Church, in a sense, is an extension of Judaism. To be more precise it is the fulfillment.
And Mass comes from Latin meaning “to send out”. What I was taught was that it means celebration. “Church” means a congregate of people. It comes from the Greek ekklesia.
