Protestants tend to focus on the resurrection of Jesus more than the crucifixion of Jesus. A lot of Protestant theology relies heavily upon the promise of salvation and too often neglects the promise of suffering for His sake.

One of the quotes I have seen quite often is “a cross without Christ is a burden without relief; Christ without the cross is a man without a mission.” The second half is not the usual one I remember seeing, but I think it gets the point across.
