Thanks for the welcome Jon!

I am a convert to the Roman Catholic Church…. I came into full communion with the Catholic Church this past Holy Saturday. I grew up in the Protestant Church of Christ denomination, but I would consider myself back then more atheist/agnostic than Christian.

My conversion (born again as the Protestants would call it) came gradually. The birth of my daughter started a belief in a higher power… but it was a book called [u:23gu3rln]The Skeptics Search For God[/u:23gu3rln] by Ralph Muncaster that really made it hit home for me. That gave me a belief in the God of the Bible and Jesus Christ, His only son and Savior of the world.

Thankfully, I went to an online message board and started to study the History of Christianity and the origin of the Canon. Only a Catholic member seemed to make sense (suprise suprise <img decoding=” title=”Wink” /> ) and this wonderful man: BOB SALMON (in case anyone out there knows him from the Catholic.com forum….. bless you Bob!) helped answer my questions and show me that Jesus Christ started a Chruch, and that Church remains to this day: The Catholic Church.

Anywho…. I tend to ramble! I enjoy teaching the faith to others and love spending time with others who know the faith well and can defend it ( I would have been Catholic a decade ago if a few Catholics that I chatted with knew their faith well enough)

I am a Moderator at another Forum, I teach adult converts in my parish at our RCIA program…. married, father of two girls (both in Catholic school now!)…. 2nd Degree Knight of Columbus

…… and founder of our Parish Father Peyton Guild. To learn more about [b:23gu3rln]Servant of God Father Patrick Peyton[/b:23gu3rln] (SOGFPP get it?), go to http://www.hcfm.org.

Peace in Christ,
Scott
