Hi Gretchen! Welcome to the website!

There are a few that come to mind, but I will post the one that I have found to be most helpful/relevant:

[quote:k22w7p3k]Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before him he endured the cross, despising its shame, and has taken his seat at the right of the throne of God. Consider how he endured such opposition from sinners, in order that you may not grow weary and lose heart.[/quote:k22w7p3k]

I think that passage says a lot. I kind of have a fear of death as well although yours sounds more develpoed than mine. I think the passage in Hebrews is saying don’t worry about it, just keep pursuing life in Christ. Something that reassures me (which I am sure it is in the Bible, but I didn’t look to find anything explicit about it) is that I know heaven will be better than here. So when I die, if I am fortunate enough to make it to heaven I have a lot more to look forward to than being here on earth.

Even knowing this though it is hard for me to imagine that I will have to leave all this wonderful stuff one day – this is the only life I know. I don’t want to leave my soon-to-be-wife and my family and friends and this website. It will be sad, yet if I go to heaven it will be a joy unlike any joy I could experience on earth to be fully united with God.
