Yes, I always felt the same way too, GailMac2. I thought it was like a family model with God the Father and Mary (not equal to God or even on the same level) with God the Son and a genderless Holy Spirit that I guess could be comparable to our human soul. I don’t think the Holy Spirit is exactly like our human soul, but following the example I was giving that’s how it might seem to fit.
When people refer to God, are they thinking of Him as God the Father or God the whole trinitarian entity? I generally think of God the Father so I always refer to God as “him.” This fits into that example I was just giving,
