O my God, I’m sorry for my sins, in choosing to do wrong and failing to do good, I’ve sinned against you and your church. I firmly intend with the help of your son, to make up for my sins and to love as I should. Amen

I know this version seems rather elementary to the one that is posted on this website. I went to a Catholic school k-8 and thats where I learned this prayer. I’ve used it my entire life, and haven’t seen any differences.
