Welcome to the site. If you are near Grand Central Station you may want to go to St. Agnes on Sundays. They have a traditional Latin Mass there with the approval of the local ordinary. Since you have mentioned a few times the Pre-Vatican II days, you may enjoy it there. The choir is quite good, and you can go GCS after to the food halls and get a nice lunch. There are other Latin Masses around the City, I know of one in Brooklyn and a few scattered about. If you’ve not been there are also some very beautiful Eastern Rite Catholic Churches in NYC.
