I like to run for exercise. I also do a lot of walking out of necessity. I enjoy playing games with friends too.May 12, 2004 at 3:17 pm #2903
Personally I like the options of sleep, imagine myself exercising and eat chewy food, but truthfully I chose pick-up games. I love playing ultimate frisbee and even though I do run on occasion, I would much rather play a game.
I did do weight-training at one time, but that was in high school. I kind of miss doing that, but I just don’t seem to have the motivation anymore.May 13, 2004 at 3:30 pm #2904
I like frisbee too. ” title=”Very Happy” />May 15, 2004 at 2:46 am #2908
I like to economize-that is combine my exercise efforts with my diet efforts. I make it a point never to eat more than I can lift!July 3, 2004 at 2:22 pm #3014
As of late my real actual exercise comes once a week in the ultimate frisbee on Thursday nights and if it weren’t for that then I would not be exercising at all (except my fingers get a good workout at the keyboard).
It’s kind of weird because everytime when we start playing a game even after I warm up and stretch and all that I still feel kind of sluggish until it really gets going. I think that’s a sign that I need to get out more.
I encourage people to exercise more for a few reasons, but mostly if you eat a lot of sweets and stuff – you may be at high risk for diabetes. I know I never want to deal with that.July 3, 2004 at 4:26 pm #3016
I chose pick-up games because that is the most enjoyable.
Right now, I am doing an Army exercise program called Hooah for Health (push-ups, sit-ups, and running). I hate doing it because there is no one else here and I have to do everything myself.July 5, 2004 at 2:53 pm #3027
Hey, I’d do it with you if you lived anywhere near me because I could an exercise program like that with a little motivation from someone else.
That’s the thing about exercise for me – I find it easier if there is someone else willing to go along with me.July 9, 2004 at 4:13 pm #3031
Someone else eh? I happen to know someone who lives pretty close to you that would always be willing…. I think you already have her contact info.

lol, well, if it didn’t involve so much running I wouldn’t have a problem ” title=”Wink” />July 10, 2004 at 6:39 am #3037
Oh, I see. ” title=”Sad” /> Running is my method of choice, but I am definitely willing to take part in other forms of exercise. Most importantly… I just like to be doing something. Too much sitting around gives me time to think and worry too much.July 10, 2004 at 7:03 am #3041
Well, it’s a good thing that where we are moving to will have a fitness center of some sorts so I can do weights.July 10, 2004 at 2:02 pm #3052
Yep, and it won’t be like pulling teeth to ask you to come with me.February 24, 2005 at 3:35 pm #3737

I really don’t like most sports since I have a limp so it makes me pretty bad at it and hurts after too long, but I do like fencing. I do renaissance fencing (not olympic) and it’s tons of fun. Well, as long as you’re winning ” title=”Wink” />February 25, 2005 at 11:44 pm #3772
[color=darkblue:26tvmd18]I can relate to that! We sometimes practice sword defenses against a shinai, which won’t kill ya but will sure make ya break out the pain relievers. [/color:26tvmd18]February 26, 2005 at 3:11 am #3778
I love to walk when the weather is good, hey this is Minnesota so right now I’m not getting out much but when it warms up watch outFebruary 27, 2005 at 12:01 am #3788
