Have you seen it? Do you have plans to? What did you think?
I know there are a few Star Wars guys on this board (I think). ” title=”Wink” />
May 23, 2005 at 9:46 pm #4751AnonymousInactiveI haven’t seen it, but deffinately plan to see it. Can’t wait.

May 23, 2005 at 11:21 pm #4752AnonymousInactiveSaw it. Awesomest (not a word) movie I have seen since I saw Empire Strikes Back. I am not an emotional guy, but I friggin BALLED at points in the movie. I mean, it was touching, depressing, emotional, just downright amazing.
Definitely just justice to Star Wars after the utter failure of I and II.
(and I am a HUGE Star Wars nut, just so you know)
May 24, 2005 at 8:49 pm #4761AnonymousInactiveI didn’t know Luke Skywalker had a sister?

May 24, 2005 at 9:39 pm #4763AnonymousInactiveI plan to see it after school gets out, which is in a few weeks. So don’t ruin it for me! Don’t tell me what happens!!
Yes, Luke has a sister. It’s Princess Leia. ” title=”Very Happy” />

Are you joking? Have you not seen the originals? If not… See them. The first one is an INCREDIBLE story-telling movie, the second is jsut an INCREDIBLE movie period, and the third one is a great way to end it, made ALL THE MORE emotinal after watching Episode III.
P.S. When I sayd first one, second one, third one, I was referring to the original trilogy.
May 25, 2005 at 9:49 pm #4769AnonymousInactiveAre the new ones exactly the same as the old ones?
I’ve only seen the one where Darth Vader says “I am your father”.

May 26, 2005 at 12:38 am #4772AnonymousInactiveYou have only seen Empire Strikes back? Oh man, you are missing out. This is what you need to do; watch the original Star Wars (A new hope), then re-watch Empire, then watch RotJ, and then go through the prequals. The first two prequals STINK, but you kinda need to know the story.
It is worth it, if only for the extreme emotional impact of Episode III
May 27, 2005 at 6:26 pm #4818AnonymousInactivePosted this elsewhere, Oops.
[quote:2143be8k]Are they gonna remake the original 3 movies?[/quote:2143be8k]
May 27, 2005 at 10:00 pm #4828AnonymousInactiveWell they already did, in Special Edition, but starting in 2007, they are re-releasing each movie (once per year, starting with Episode 1) in 3D. Kinda weird… not sure if they can pull it off…
May 28, 2005 at 6:29 am #4842About Catholics TeamKeymasterWhat a waste. They should have just done the sequels like they originally planned.
May 28, 2005 at 5:19 pm #4846AnonymousInactiveYeah. Trouble with that is all of the literature from after the movies; Lucas would either have to create movies involving that literature (very difficult), or piss off every EU fan ever by disregarding the books.
What he SHOULD do is turn the Thrawn trilogy into a movie series. Tweaked a little of course, but that would be AWESOME.
May 29, 2005 at 6:56 pm #4857AnonymousInactive3D !!! Boooooo!!!

May 29, 2005 at 7:21 pm #4863AnonymousInactiveCan you imagine the Empire Strikes Back Luke/Vaer duel (which by the way, is one of the greatets cinematic scenes EVER) in 3D? Hideous jsut to think of.
June 1, 2005 at 9:58 pm #4938AnonymousInactiveI saw this movie Twice!!! I loved it, after seeing it I went back home and saw the entire trilogy again! THis movie has turned me into a Star Wars fan forever!! Awesome!
June 1, 2005 at 10:01 pm #4940AnonymousInactiveI heard in the radio that the story goes on and on with other authors continuing it. Apparently some of them did a great job. What if they released more movies with the new authors?

June 2, 2005 at 12:08 am #4942AnonymousInactiveIf they just put the Timtohy Zahn Thrawn Trilogy to the screen, every one on EARTH would be happy.
June 2, 2005 at 4:47 am #4943AnonymousInactiveTimtohy Zahn Thrawn Trilogy, whats that?
~Victor
June 2, 2005 at 3:02 pm #4944AnonymousInactiveIt was the first three novels written. They were about the fledgling New Republic in its fight against Grand Admiral Thrawn, am military genius. It introduced some of the msot beloved Star Wars characters to date, including Mara Jade, Thrawn himself, Talon Karrde, etc.
If they jsut turned those three books into movies it would be awesome. But they won’t.
July 2, 2005 at 7:49 pm #5315About Catholics TeamKeymasterI forgot to mention that I saw this movie 2 weeks ago and thought it was great. During the whole prgression of scenes where Anakin turns to the dark side I was secretly rooting for him not to, but we all know what happens.
Overall I thought it was a pretty good movie. ” title=”Smile” />
