What do you think, based on what you already know – should Sadaam Hussein be executed?

Feel free to disagree with me, but I say no because I do not think we should be killing anyone despite what that person has done here on earth. It is not our place. I believe that God will take care of the person accordingly.

I think he should not be killed, both because as Catholics, we believe that we do not have the right to choose death or life for another being and because if he is in prison his whole life he will have to LIVE in conditions himself that the Iraqi people have had to live in for years.

Well, I was just reading on cnn.com the other day that a certain group of Muslims [b:1ln2ay1s]want[/b:1ln2ay1s] Sadaam to be killed.

I’m not sure that this would be the right course of action, but on the other hand, from a Christian point of view it might be.

First, why I think it would not be a good idea is because I would think that in order to make someone pay for something that they did killing him or her is not the best idea. The person would really not be paying for anything (on Earth) and would not have to suffer the same pain that that person caused other people that he or she may have harmed.

However, on the other hand, from a Christian point of view, I think that killing a person would send that person to God to judge and if that person deserved any punishment in God’s eyes it would be taken care of. Of course it is not up to us to decide when someone should die – so this would not be very Christian essentially, but the thought of someone being judged by God and not by us is what I am talking about in regards to the “Christian point of view.”

Personally, I think we should keep him alive in a prison with high security, but then again I don’t want my tax dollars to pay for his food and medical problems.
