My brother is catholic. He is engaged to a wonderful girl who was baptized catholic but has not been a practicing catholic. She married at a JP and is now divorced.

They would like to marry in a Catholic Church, and raise children as catholics. Does her marraige need to be annulled? I am very happy that they are looking forward to a Christian life together. Any guidance would be appreciated.

    Enjoy life through Jesus!

If she never had a Catholic marriage then she does not need an annulment. It wasn’t considered sacramental in the first place so there is no need for an annulment. I hope this helps! <img decoding=” title=”Smile” />
