hi, I need some advice. I am roman catholic from birth I attended a roman catholic school till I was 11. I have been confirmed but since that time i havent attended church. I am now 24, and have again become interested in my faith, although a little concerned about where to start, i would like to be able to attend a church. If you have any ideas or advice that will help me please let me know.

Not sure where you are spiritually, but I would recommend you begin by going to confession. Follow that by going to Mass and thinking of questions that you may want to ask. Prayer is always helpful. We have plenty of material in this website that can help you. If the material here doesn’t answer your questions we can deffinately help you out and lead you in the right direction.

    Hope that helps.

Absolutely right Victor! Prayer, reconciliation and penance are awesome ways to start back. Then weekly mass, maybe adoration once a month, and get involved in an adult program at your parish! These help to kindle the spirit and get you back in to the joy of worship!

Also start praying the Rosary and Chaplet of Devine Mercy at least once a week.

While canonically reconciliation might be the “right” way to come back, I’m not sure if that is the best way. For people that don’t go to reconciliation very often it can be downright intimidating.

My suggestion is to go to Mass, get involved in something in the parish and then seek the sacrament of reconciliation.

Your right Jon, just figured he/she was beyond the intimidation factor. He/she has been confirmed and is probably somewhat familiar with Catholicism.

Well, even people who have been Confirmed are intimidated. Sometimes I still get intimidated.

    No biggie, Victor.
