InactiveI´m a guy from Latin America. I have been a Catholic my whole life, but I guess not a very good one. I recently met a group of Cristian Evangelicals that came from the USA to my country to teach about their beliefs. I had some very good conversations with some of the people on this group and think I did a fairly good job on explaining and defending the Catholic faith(especially considering the fact English is my second language). However I know I could have done a lot better. These conversations have motivated me to learn more about and involve myself more with Catholicism, so I´m very excited to join this site. I look forward to sharing with all of you. God´s Peace and Love

KeymasterJuan,
I’ve had much the same experience in that discussing faith with a group of Evangelicals I became stronger in my faith.Welcome to this website!

InactiveThank you Jon, SOGFPP and Victor for welcoming me.
Jon: I´ve read your bio on the site and was pleasantly surprised to know you are such a young guy. For some reason I didn´t expect this. I´m also a young guy (I´ll be 30 in a couple of months so that will be the end of that lol) Seriously though, sometimes it kind of feels young people do not really care about religion and that religion is only for older folks. I don´t know, it probably is just a personal perception. Anyway, congrats on the website, I´m learning a lot from it.
Victor: I am from Guatemala. I was born and live in Guatemala City. I did live in the U.S. for about 5 years (went to college there). You implied you left Mexico very young, do you speak Spanish?

InactiveI came to the US at 2 years old. Don’t really know much about Mexico though. Yes I do speak Spanish.
I know what you mean about our youth of today. It’s difficult to get them interested in the things of God. I’m 25 now and rarely bump into someone that will either spark up a conversation or listen to me on anything that has to do with God. Once again welcome.

KeymasterYeah, I started this website when I was 18!
I know the novelty of my youth will wear off quickly, but for now I will take advantage of it. I really think it’s important to engage young people to be interested in their faith (not with this website necessarily).
