    I never knew Canada’s age of consent was 14. Does anyone else find this extremely disturbing? Not only that, but now they think only being 16 will be old enough.

    Have you ever seen the ages of consent across the United States? Sixteen is the norm.

    I am not sure of the current numbers, but the age of consent for marriage, with parental consent, is even lower across most of the US. In the early-mid 1990s (when last I checked), it was 12 in Alabama and 14 in Arizona.

    A woman in her 30s married a 14 year old boy in our part of the state. It made the Jerry Springer show. :rolleyes:
