It’s hard to stomach that the president of the United States has just committed $87 billion dollars to “bring democracy and freedom” to Iraq. What about all the homeless and starving people in the U.S.? What about the people without the necessary funds to get a good education even though they have the talent? What about the billions upon billions of dollars deficit that all of the states suffer from?

Where are our governments priorities? I think it’s time we question who they are really trying to help and protect. I think there are other ways we can protect our country and the world from so-called terrorism as long as we get help from other nations. I think we need to re-prioritize where American tax dollars are going. I sure would like to see better public education with my money, not funding the lunacy in Iraq.
