There are any number of apocrophyl books and legends among both Jews and Early Chrisitans, many are good sources, but simply not part of Sacred Scripture, or Oral Tradition. It would be like a story about a cat up a tree that was not printed in the Newspaper or on the TV News. It still happened, even if it was not front page. There are good scholars who have access to and are able to determine the validity of some of these stories, as well as weed out those that are spurious.
