Peace be with you all!

[quote:1squ9ht3]Could someone give me a couple of Bible verses about purgatory?[/quote:1squ9ht3]

Since you appear to profess what is written in signature, Sola scriptura , I doubt we will be able agree with many Catholic Doctrine or even some Protestant Doctrines. But, if you are [i:1squ9ht3][b:1squ9ht3]Truly[/b:1squ9ht3][/i:1squ9ht3] seeking truth, then here[/url:1squ9ht3] is an awesome explanation of Purgatory. As for Scriptural passages, I offer you these passages which help us to understand how the Church developed it teaching and understanding of Purgatory:

2 Sam 12:13-18
Revelation 21:27
Matthew 5:48
Hebrews 12:22-23
1 Corinthians 3:13-15
Matthew 12:32, 18:32-35
Revelation 20:12-15
James 5:20
1 Peter 4:8
Colossians 1:24

In conclusion I ask that you please show me where in Scripture there is a single teaching that says there is no such place as Purgatory. Further, I ask that you explain to me what the other place of purification by fire after death is, as referred to in some of the above listed Scriptures? I am willing to learn and always seeking the Truth!

God Bless!
