The type of worship mixed with aesthetics of the building affects the behaivor of catholics. I remember stepping into one of those oldie catholic churches with huge statues and monolithic entrance doors with ugly gargoyles high in the Church. Once you entered there were huge pillars with the smell of candles. Just from entering I didn’t feel worthy of being there.
In the new parish there was almost no statues or pictures or nothing really. And there was a rock style type of music. I know the “essense” is what matters but I guess Im not used to it.
