Yeah. Trouble with that is all of the literature from after the movies; Lucas would either have to create movies involving that literature (very difficult), or piss off every EU fan ever by disregarding the books.

What he SHOULD do is turn the Thrawn trilogy into a movie series. Tweaked a little of course, but that would be AWESOME.
