Good call to question me Jon. The hour was late- I knew I wanted to ask about the convention- I really had no idea how my comments came across.

Yet I really can not give you a concrete response as to why I commented that I felt the same way as Mayor Guiliani-the feeling of hope because Bush became president before Sept 11. 2001 and not Gore. It is a very strong gut feeling, ( gut feelings don’t make sense to anyone outside the faith world I guess) . I do feel though that it stems from the way the Democrats handled the whole Clinton perversion in the oval office. (yes I know we all are sinners and make poor choices- but the way it was handled by the Democrats just gave me no sign of hope for the way they would lead or mislead our country in years to come.)

I guess that brings us back to the election problem facing faith filled people-vote for the lesser evil? Abortion? War? Capital Punishment? Social responsibilty?

I do not agree with capital punishment any more than our Holy Father the Pope does,—-however it is not a sin according to our Catechism.(?)

And the war- just or not just? that is a tough question for us all to sort out. I look at what Saddam Hussein has done to his people- I feel a social responsibility to do something

but as with Bush—-this is NOT a popular view to hold. The war is a mess- but isn’t it just as ‘wrong’ to stay out of it??

Well as you can see—-I am trolling for comments ………..
