Yeah, I think Pam has a good point – it’s much easier in the context of a parent-child relationship.

But what I am wondering is how you would go about doing this with a friend or a brother or sister? You can’t just say, “yo, I think what you’re doing is horrible, but I still love you” and then be able to spend quality time with that person. There’s probably always going to be a great level of uncomfortability and tension between the 2 people that does not make great conditions for still loving the other person.
