Ah yes, Jesus-is-lord.com and Jack Chick. You know, I was thinking of providing an extensive list of anti-Catholic sites so people know what to stay away from.

Anyway, yes it did turn out very badly. I’m not sure what the original intent was (besides getting rid of heretics) but with our modern theology it’s hard to imagine a Christian justifying burning another one because they were a heretic.

Of course I tend to think some of the decisions made during the Inquisition were someone’s personal conviction and not actual Church teaching. It’s just sad that it was done in the name of the Church though.
